About Us

Matt and Laura will be somewhere in Botswana...meanwhile, we have been living together in NYC for long enough to call it home. We are getting ready to leave our home and embark on a journey that we have been looking forward to for quite some time. We are joining the Peace Corps. Matt will be working in the Public Health Sector. He will be working with home-based/orphan care and helping to reduce mother to child HIV/AIDS transmission. Laura will be working as a Life Skills Technical Adviser. She will be helping in schools to train teachers, start girl empowerment groups, after school programs and work with school counselors. Our assignments and what life will be like is all kinda loosely understood/defined. Therefore, a huge adventure awaits us. We are both so thankful that we get to navigate through the southern part of Africa together!
